FDP Passports

At Lift Four Dwellings Primary, we know the importance of independent personal development and raising aspirations to help our children to go on to lead successful and happy lives.

I can statements

Our school passports provide opportunities to achieve by earning prestigious badges based upon our school vision and values as we believe that every child can choose a remarkable life.

Pupils can tick off ‘I CAN’ statements against the school values to include:

Be Unusually Brave; I CAN ...

  1. Demonstrate my confidence through contributing in lessons, public speaking, performing or competing against others or myself.
  2. Step forward and take the lead by being helpful, guiding others, being a team player or organising something that makes a positive contribution to others.

Discover What Is Possible; I CAN ...

  1. Attend school every day on time to make the most of every opportunity.
  2. Wear my uniform with pride to prepare me for a future career.

Push The Limits; I CAN ...

  1. Demonstrate excellent behaviour to reach my full potential.
  2. Contribute to lessons by demonstrating good ‘Habits of Learning’ such as ‘Hands up’, ‘Confident thumbs’, ‘Partner Talk’ and ‘Track the speaker.

Be Big Hearted; I CAN ...

  1. Show acts of kindness by being considerate, helpful and respectful to all children and adults.

Our FDP Passport:

Passports

As children work their way through their passports, they collect a set of bronze, silver and then gold badges as below.

  • Be Unusually Brave - We’re not afraid to challenge wrongs, to make the right call, even when it is difficult to do so.
  • Discover What is Possible - We attend school everyday on time to make the most of all the wonderful possibilities and opportunities available to us within the academy and in the wider community.
  • Push the Limits - Our behaviour is exemplary, does not disrupt the learning of others and enables children to achieve their full potential.
  • Be Big Hearted - We are kind, helpful and respectful to all children and adults believing that everyone matters and is treated fairly.
  • Children get a bronze, silver and gold Dylan badge when they have progressed through the badges above.
  • Children who make their way right through to a gold Dylan progress to our gold hands which are colour coded to match their houses.
  • If children are rewarded beyond a gold hand badge, then they have a gold shooting star, gold balloon and gold star to collect!

When children complete their passports, it means that they earn a badge with one of the four corners of the school logo linked to each value.

Badges

There are four badges of Bronze, four badges of Silver and four badges of Gold followed by a Bronze, Silver and Gold Dylan the Dinosaur badge. Finally they progress to the house colour coded gold hands, and our gold shooting star, balloon and star badges.

The stamp section is earned through excellent pieces of work and these can be stamped in any order before the Headteacher stamp.
