Starting nursery is an exciting milestone for children and parents alike. We aim to make the transition as smooth and positive as possible. Our team will work closely with you to help your child settle in and feel secure in their new environment.
We encourage all children attending our nursery to wear the school uniform, helping them feel part of our wider school community. We recommend simple, comfortable clothing and easy-to-manage footwear to support their growing independence. Please ensure your child has a spare set of clothes in their bag, just in case. For more information, visit our Uniform Page.
At Lift Four Dwellings Primary, our mission is to provide an excellent education to every child, every day. We create a warm, inclusive, and language-rich environment where children feel valued, confident, and eager to learn.
In our Early Years setting, we balance structured routines, direct teaching, and play-based learning to build independence, curiosity, and resilience. Our caring staff ensure every child feels secure, respected, and inspired to explore new ideas and develop essential knowledge and skills.
Our nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, focusing on learning through play and exploration. We support development across all key areas, including:
Every day, our children are encouraged to discover, create, and grow - building a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
At Lift Four Dwellings Primary, we provide a rich and stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors to support every child’s growth and development.
Time spent outside boosts children’s well-being and helps them develop across all areas of learning. Our school features a modern, spacious outdoor area and regular access to a woodland space, offering exciting opportunities for exploration and discovery. Our outdoor activities are carefully planned to ensure children can learn, play, and succeed in a safe, secure, and inspiring environment.
Your child’s safety is our top priority. All gates and entrances are securely locked during the day, and children are closely supervised during both play and learning activities. Our staff are fully trained in safeguarding procedures, and at least two team members are present during dismissal to ensure a safe and smooth handover.
We encourage healthy eating habits by providing children with fresh fruit each morning, complemented by milk, helping to fuel their learning and support their growth and development.
We deeply value the knowledge and insights you have about your child. Our nursery team works closely in partnership with you to support your child’s learning and development. Through regular communication, we can understand your child’s needs, celebrate achievements, and ensure they thrive every step of the way
